Pete Doherty - NME Hero - Joke Right??!?

In what is a really funny if-it-weren't-true way, Pete Doherty scored the NME Award for "Hero of the Year".

WTF? WTF! Yeah, my hero gives crack to kittens and spits blood out of hotel windows whilst injecting random "fans" with blood or drugs or whatever it was. When I grow up I want to be just like him!

Surely people could've come up with a better candidate than him. Ah well. Lets glorify drug use and abuse and then wonder why we are a drugged out, cracked up society. Strange that.

1. I wish I was there to see the moment the Hero Of The Year was announced. They open the envelope and they say, “It’s Pete Doherty.”

   And at the back of the room Batman stands up, throws down his napkin and storms out, shouting, “This is bullsh**!”
